Lymington Harbour is a trust port managed by an independent board of nine Commissioners plus the Harbour Master/Chief Executive Officer. The harbour is a valuable community asset and the Commissioners play an important part in shaping its future for current and succeeding generations.

We are seeking to appoint a new Harbour Commissioner to start on the 1st November, 2017.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic candidates with recent experience of commercial ferry or port operations including serving or recently retired Master Mariners. A working knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code is also desirable.

Commissioners meet at least six times a year and are appointed for a term of three years; the position is voluntary (unpaid). If you are interested we would very much like to hear from you. We are an equal opportunities employer.

The closing date for applications is Friday 8th September 2017.
