Waste Disposal

Facilities for yachtsmen's landed waste are provided at various landing points around the harbour. Part of the mooring charges are to cover waste disposal costs so please ensure you dispose of your waste responsibly before going to sea.

Lymington Harbour Commissioners encourage all vessels to segregate their waste and recycle where possible.

Household-type waste should be bagged and placed in the skips which are located in a separate ‘refuse’ room within the toilet and shower block adjacent to the visitors’ area at Town Quay and at the base of the footbridge to the Dan Bran and Harbour Master pontoons. A key code to gain access will be provided by harbour staff when collecting mooring dues. In addition there is a general waste receptacle adjacent to the foot bridge accessing the Harbour Master and Dan Bran pontoons.

Recycling bins. Glass recycling receptacles are provided within the refuse room at Town Quay. In addition Council operated recycling facilities for the disposal of glass, paper and plastic are located in the Bath Road car park adjacent to the Lifeboat Station.
