Maintenance Works to Starting Platform

Notice is hereby given that from Monday 11th March 2019, essential maintenance works will commence to the Royal Lymington Yacht Club starting platform at the river entrance for a period of 3 weeks.

The works will be undertaken by Baker Trayte Marine catamaran ‘UNCLE BILL’ which will be moored alongside the platform during working hours and shall maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch12.  Outside of working hours and overnight ‘UNCLE BILL’ will vacate the works and moor on the Royal Lymington Yacht Club pontoon.

The location co-ordinates (WGS84) for the centre of the starting platform are:

Lat: 050⁰ 44.418 N                  Long: 001⁰30.423W 

During the works the platform will continue to be identified as a special mark (hut painted yellow) with a Flash Yellow 5 Sec Light characteristic.

All mariners/harbour users are requested to pass the works operation with caution and at a speed consistent with safe navigation and minimal wash.

This notice will self-cancel on the 30th March 2019.
