Resident Moorings

Lymington  Harbour Commissioners let moorings on an annual basis from the 1st April each year. We have 502 river moorings and 155 walk ashore pontoon moorings.

The waiting list and mooring allocations are open to people who permanently reside on the mainland within 7 miles of Lymington Church and who are the owner or majority shareholder of the boat.
Moorings are allocated from the waiting list with seniority being based on a combination of time served on the waiting list and boat compatibility with the available mooring. Waiting list times are currently between 3 and 20+ years depending on the type and size of boat requested and the type and location of mooring.

Completed forms should be returned together with payment for the waiting list administration fee and a photocopy of your driving licence showing your local address to:

Lymington Harbour Commissioners, Harbour Office, Bath Road, Lymington, Hampshire. SO41 3SE

A full list of charges are available HERE

We currently have a number of resident moorings available for small motorboats and RIBs (up to 8m).

Located upstream of the railway bridge, these moorings only suit shallow draft boats. Please note there is restricted access under the railway bridge at high tide.

As most of our moorings have a long waiting list, this is good opportunity to get on the river now while preserving the ability to move to a different mooring later.

Please call 01590 672014 for details.
