Berth Holders Overview

Lymington is one of the UK’s premier yachting centres and is located in an enviable position at the ‘gateway’ to the western Solent making it a popular destination for sailors, power boaters and cruisers to keep their boat throughout the season.

Lymington Harbour Commission has 502 river moorings and 155 walk ashore pontoon moorings available for rent to local residents. From time to time these moorings may not be in use by the licenced mooring holder and may become available for temporary let.

The harbour also has several scrubbing grids available if your boat needs some TLC!

As you would expect in a maritime town, there are a wide range of supporting facilities and services available through the local private marinas, boatyards, chandleries and marine service providers.

For further information on Lymington Harbour Commission facilities, please use the links on the left hand side of this page under the ‘Berth Holder Information’ section.

We currently have a number of resident moorings available for small motorboats and RIBs (up to 8m).

Located upstream of the railway bridge, these moorings only suit shallow draft boats. Please note there is restricted access under the railway bridge at high tide.

As most of our moorings have a long waiting list, this is good opportunity to get on the river now while preserving the ability to move to a different mooring later.
