Notice is hereby given that following consultation with the Royal Lymington Yacht Club, Lymington Town Sailing Club and Lymington Sailability, and a subsequent trial, a mooring facility has been finalised to make it easier for single handed dinghy sailors to secure their dinghy while they are collecting or removing their trailer.
The new facility consists of a length of secured ground chain running along the northern side of the slipway as shown on the Google Earth image below.
Please note the ground chain is only for the use of small non powered sailing dinghies on a short term basis while the owner of the dinghy is removing or retrieving their hand trailer. It must not be used for any other purpose.
Motorised craft or small yachts should keep clear of the chain and use the pontoon waiting area on the southern side while launch vehicles are being moved.
This notice amends LNTM 13/2021 which has been cancelled.
