Mooring works at Lymington Town Quay

Number 10 of 2019

Notice is hereby given that between the 1st November 2019 and the 31st January 2020 works to reconfigure the Town Quay mooring area will take place.

Initially plant will be arriving and positioning on site. Works will commence soon after and will consist of extracting and removing old piles, pontoons and moorings. New piles will then be driven and new pontoons and moorings installed. Limited dredging operations will also take place (see LNTM No 11/2019).

The following Walcon Marine vessels will be in operation over this period.

Works will take place in the area bounded by the yellow lines on the image below.



During the period of the works, there will be no walk ashore landing facilities or visitor moorings available within the works area. Resident mooring licence holders will be relocated for the duration of the works.

Access to Haven Quay, Berthon Boatyard/Marina and the moorings above the railway bridge will be maintained.

Alternative landing facilities are provided at the Harbour Master Pontoon and a limited number of visitor moorings will be available on the Dan Bran pontoon between cleat numbers 27 and 36 (rafting permitted) on a first come first serve basis.

Please keep well clear of piling works and take appropriate care when navigating in the vicinity of the works. Please operate at a speed commensurate with keeping wash levels low.
