Collision with Cross Boom Navigation Post on Friday 25th June 2021 - Can you help?

On Friday 25th June 2021 between 11.15 hours and 12.15 hours a vessel collided with the Cross Boom navigation beacon on the port side of the channel near the harbour entrance. Ferry CCTV footage has helped to narrow down the time the incident occurred.

New 2020-25 Strategic Plan

At their meeting on the 23rd September the Commissioners approved the new Strategic Plan which will guide the direction of the harbour for the next five years and beyond.

The new plan was subject to consultation through the Harbour Advisory Group as well as an eight-week public consultation. The Commissioners have given careful consideration to the feedback received and where modifications to the consultation draft should be made. Key feedback themes from the consultation included:-

We currently have a limited number of resident moorings available for small motorboats and RIBs (up to 8m). Located upstream of the railway bridge, these moorings only suit shallow draft boats.
