Lymington Harbour is home to Wightlink’s regular vehicle ferry service operating between Lymington and Yarmouth, Isle of Wight with over 10,500 trips per year. Approximately 350,000 vehicles and 1,100,000 passengers are carried annually on this route which provides a vital lifeline between the mainland and the western Wight. Ferries depart/arrive approximately every hour between 05.30 and 22.00 hours.
There are also a number of smaller operators that offer passenger ferry or pleasure cruise trips with smaller vessels. These include Puffin Cruises which offers seasonal river cruise trips and ferry trips to Yarmouth; Blue Funnel Cruises which operates a ferry service between Lymington and Cowes during the Cowes Week Regatta; and Gosport Ferry Company which offers seasonal cruise trips from Gosport to Lymington to visit the Saturday market.
Lymington also supports a small fleet of commercial fishing boats and angling charter boats as well as a number of companies that provide corporate entertainment charters on RIB’s and Yachts.
Please see the additional links under this section for further information on commercial berths, commercial landings, sublet (temporary) moorings, pilotage and diving.
LIMITED MOORINGS AVAILABLE NOW!
We currently have a number of resident moorings available for small motorboats and RIBs (up to 8m).
Located upstream of the railway bridge, these moorings only suit shallow draft boats. Please note there is restricted access under the railway bridge at high tide.
As most of our moorings have a long waiting list, this is good opportunity to get on the river now while preserving the ability to move to a different mooring later.
Please call 01590 672014 for details.
